Digital Desk, June 23: A group of thirty-three Shiv Sena MLAs and seven independent MLAs led by Eknath Shinde, Minister of Urban Development of Maharashtra, had arrived Guwahati on Wednesday. Eknath Shinde said after arriving Guwahati, ”We are devoted to Balasaheb Thackeray’s Hindutva ideology. Myself and other 39 MLAs accompanied me. We are loyal to Balasaheb Thackeray’s ideology of ‘Hindutva’ and we are keen to forward it.

It is mentioned that Shinde refused to disclose details about their future course of action. They were received at the airport by BJP MP Pallab Lochan Das and MLA Sushanta Borgohain. The later added, ”The MLAs are known to us. They came here and we received them as a matter of courtsey.” This is perhaps for the first time that rebel MLAs from a Western Indian state have been taken to a Northeastern state after their rebellion against the party leadership.
