Digital Desk, April 19: Two youths have joined the ULFA-I (United Liberation Front of Asom- Independent) in Assam. The two are identified as Pankaj Mech and Pankaj Gogoi. Notably, Janardan Gogoi, Vice President of Tinsukia District Youth Congress had joined the ULFA-I on Sunday. Police said, ULFA-I uses social media platforms like Facebook and YouTube to captivate youths.
CM Himanta Biswa Sarma said, ”47 boys and girls have joined ULFA-I recently, but many senior cadres have quit the outfit.” whereas Congress MP Gaurav Gogoi alleged that frustration caused by unemployment is the main reason behind their joining in the banned separatist organisation.
