The earth has shaken due to earthquake in Assam. Earthquake tremors were felt at midnight. According to the Richter scale, the intensity of the earthquake has been measured at 4.8. Earthquake of magnitude 4.8 hit Assam and a few other states of the northest on Friday midnight. According to the National Centre for Seismology, the earthquake’s epicentre was located in Myanmar at a depth of 106 kilometres below the earth’s surface. However, no damage to properties or loss of life. The earthquake measuring 4.8 on the Richter scale struck Myanmar, with tremors being felt across various parts of Assam. Earthquake occurred at a depth of 106 kilometres, with its epicentre located at latitude 24.68 degree North and longitude 94.87 degree East. Local people of Assam confirmed that no casualities or significant damage to property have been reported so far.
