The soldier had returned home but draped in the tricolor

The Rajouri encounter, which lasted for over 36 hours and ended on 23 November with the armed forces neutralizing two Terrorists’ cost the country four soldiers. Among them were two Army officers and two soldiers, one was captain MV Pranjal from Karnataka’s Mysuru. And another was captain Shubham Gupta , who also made the ultimate sacrifice.
29-year-old Army officer Captain MV Pranjal was son of Venkatesh, the former managing director of Mangalore Refinery and Petrochemicals Limited. India lost brave, soft-spoken, sensitive and mature individual Captain MV Pranjal in a fierce encounter with terrorists . 
In the captain’s last message to his wife, he promised of a ‘return’ on Thursday. As fate would have it, the soldier had returned but draped in the tricolor. Captain Pranjal’s father said “After received the call from the command center about his demise, and our world has shattered”. Captain’s father further said ‘He was brave, independent and decisive since childhood decisive. I remember when he was in Class 3, I was in Delhi. Back home, Anuradha started to stammer while talking. He immediately called the neighbors and shifted her to a hospital. He knew how to respond quickly. We later found out that it was a transient ischemic attack”.
