The President of Russia, Putin has invited Prime Minister Narendra Modi to come visit the nation. During his Wednesday meeting in Moscow with External Affairs Minister Dr.S.Jaishankar ,Putin said ”we are excited to have our friend Narendra  Modi visit Russia. We will be able to talk about all of the current concerns as well as the potential future development in the relations between Russia and India . Putin added, ”so I ask you to convey to him my best wishes and please pass on our invitation. We are waiting for him in Russia.”

Regarding the situation in Ukraine, Putin stated that Russia is aware of Prime Minister Modi’s stance and has frequently updated him on the circumstances surrounding this dispute.”I am referring to his position, attitude to complicated processes, including hot spots, and the situation in Ukraine. I have repeatedly informed him about the situation around this conflict. I know about his striving to resolve this problem through peaceful means..”

External Affairs Minister Dr.S.Jaishankar also informed Putin that PM Modi was looking forward to visiting Russia next year.
