Digital Desk, July 21: The Gauhati High Court granted bail to Barshashree Buragohain today. It may be noted that Barshashree Buragohain was arrested from Golaghat after written an anti-national Assamese poem titled ‘Swadhin Surujor Dixe Akou Ekhuj, Akou Korim Rashtra Droh’ (One more step towards the sun of freedom, Will again rebel against the nation).
Notably, Barshashree Buragohain is a second-year student of Mathematics at DCB Girls College, Jorhat under Dibrugarh University. She had even appeared the exam from inside the jail since Golaghat court had allowed Barshashree to appear in the exam.
