Tata gets back Air India’s ownership after 69 years

New Delhi, January 28: Tata sons have finally go official control of Air India. Notably, the strategic disinvestment transaction was completed on Thursday, 27 January, with Government of India receiving a consideration of 2,700 crore from the strategic partner Telace Pvt Ltd.

“We’re totally delighted that this process is complete & happy to have Air India back in the Tata Group. We look forward to walking with everyone to create a world-class airline: Chairman of Tata Sons N Chandrasekharan after taking handover of Air India’,” reports ANI on microblogging site Twitter.
