New Delhi , October 1 : The Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports (MYAS) announced on Friday that Sujata Chaturvedi has been appointed as new Secretary Sports , Department of Sports in the ministry. MYAS also greeted Ravi Mital for his dedication to the services of the department as Secretary Sports.
Ravi Mital was bidden farewell yesterday in the presence of Minister of Youth Affairs and Sports Anurag Thakur at the Major Dhyan Chand Stadium. The minister also thanked Ravi Mital saying that he always kept the athletes as his focus while framing policies , and wished him luck for the future.
The new Sports Secretary , Sujata Chaturvedi who is a 1989 batch IAS officer of Bihar cadre , served in the central deputation as Additional Secretary , Personnel Training , had earlier been promoted to Chief Secretary grade in Bihar.
