SpiceJet to introduce Agartala-Jorhat flight route

SpiceJet to introduce a flight route from Agartala to Jorhat to boost regional air connectivity, the Union Minister for Civil Aviation Jotiraditya Scindia informed. The Union Minister said that the Agartala-Jorhat route under SpiceJet will start their operation soon while responding to a letter written by Tripura Transport Minister Sushant Choudhary. The given route awarded to SpiceJet will be under the UDAN (Ude Desh Ka Aam Nagrik) scheme.

Union Minister also informed Agartala may get another flight direct to Hyderabad taken up by private carrier IndiGo. In his letter said at present Agartala is operating 202 flights by three operations Air India, IndiGo and Akasa having connection with cities like Kolkata, Bengaluru, Delhi, Guwahati, Imphal and Shillong.
