New Delhi, February 7: Delhi schools and colleges have been allowed to reopen from February 7, 2022. Notably, schools would reopen only for classes 9 to 12. The announcement has been made by Delhi Disaster Management Authority (DDMA) after holding conversations with Arvind Kejriwal led government.
”Delhi government has decided to welcome children back to schools and colleges now. All schools (class 9 onwards), colleges, institutes, universities, and coaching reopen from 7 February. Nursery to class 8 from 14 February. Higher education to be completely in physical mode,” Delhi Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia tweeted on microblogging site twitter.
”The pandemic-induced school closures have not only affected their studies but also their mental health. During Covid-19, our priority was children’s safety,” Sisodia also added.
