Digital Desk, July 18: 4,800 elected MPs and MLAs vote on July 18 to elect the new President of India. It may be noted that 60 per cent of votes are expected to be cast in Draupadi Murmu’s favour. The polling will continue till 5 pm . Moreover, the polling began in Parliament House and State Legislative Assemblies.
The counting of votes will be held on July 21. The new President of India will take oath on July 25. Prime Minister Narendra Modi casts his vote to elect new President at the Parliament. Meanwhile, NDA candidate Draupadi Murmu is contesting Opposition joint candidate Yashwant Sinha.
