Digital Desk, August 10: Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma expressed his happiness over the selling of 53 Lakh Har Ghar Tiranga across the state. The national flags are prepared by self-help groups. Notably, the total amount received from the sale of Har Ghar Tiranga is Rupees 12.47 Crore.
The State Government placed a requirement for another 50 Lakh flags to Ministry of Culture, Government of India. Regarding this, Himanta Biswa Sarma wrote on microblogging site Twitter, ”The #HarGharTiranga campaign organized as part of #AzadikaAmritMahotsav is being carried out in full swing across Assam.” Meanwhile, fair price shops provide these flags at Rupees 18 per to NFSA beneficiaries.
