Digital Desk, June 24: Kolkata Police summoned suspended BJP spokesperson Nupur Sharma on June 25. This is for the second time Kolkata Police summons to Nupur Sharma in connection with her controversial comments on Prophet Mohammad. Complaints have been lodged at 10 police stations in Kolkata. She was summoned to Narkeldanga police station, under the eastern surburban division of Kolkata Police, however, she skipped the summon.
Meanwhile, Nupur Sharma stated, ”The shivling was also being ridiculed by comparing it to roadside signs and poles. I could not tolerate this continuous insult and disrespect towards our Mahadev and I said some things in response to it. If my words have caused discomfort or hurt feelings of anyone whatsoever, I unconditionally withdraw may statement. It was never my intention to hurt religious feelings.”
