Digital Desk, January 25: The Ministry of Tourism is observing National Tourism Day under ‘Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav’, a 75 week grand celebration to mark 75 years of India’s Independence. This day is celebrated across the country on 25 January every year to cherish India’s beauty and also to spread awareness about the significance of tourism and its impact on economic development.

The theme for National Tourism Day 2022 is ‘ Rural and Community Centric Tourism’. As tourists in India quest for beautiful destinations, Goa, Manali, Shimla continue to remain favourites. Contemporaneously, states like Himachal Pradesh, Goa, Uttarakhand and Northeastern States have suffered due to pandemic. However, it is expected to emerge back with a greater impact
