Narendra Modi Likely To Be In Punjab On August 24

Digital Desk, August 19: Prime Minister Narendra Modi would be in Punjab on August 24. The visit would remark Modi’s first time visit after Aam Aadmi Party came into the power in the state. Modi would visit Punjab to inauguarate Homi Bhaba Cancer Hospital and Research Centre at Mullanpur, Punjab. 

The hospital has currently 300-bed facilities. Ahead of Modi’s visit, VK Januja, Chief Secretary, Punjab visited the site of the project. Notably, former Prime Minister Dr. Manmohan Singh laid the foundation stone of the hospital.

Meanwhile, Homi Bhaba Cancer Hospital and Research Centre would provide cancer care treatment to the patients of Jammu and Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh, Haryana, Uttarakhand and Rajasthan along with Punjab. It may be noted that the final confirmation of Modi’s programme is awaited.
