Digital Desk, July 23: 68th National Film Awards is announced on Friday. Notably, Aimee Baruah’s ‘Semkhor’ has been awarded the ‘Silver Lotus Award’ in 68th National Film Awards. Two others films of Assam, ‘Kachichininthu’ and ‘Manuh Aru Manuh’ have been awarded Best Short Fiction Film and Best Environment Film Award respectively.
Notably, Kachichininthu is a Karbi language short film by Khanjan Kishore Nath. Manuh Aru Manuh is an Assamese non-feature film. Manuh Aru Manuh has been directed by Dip Bhuyan. Kripal Kalita’s ‘Bridge’ has bagged Best Assamese Film Award in feature film category. Anurag Thakur, Minister of Sports, Youth Affairs, Minister of Information and Broadcasting congratulated all the winners.
