Digital Desk, July 6: Many celebrities from Indian film industry have donated towards the CM Relief Fund of Assam. Noted filmmaker Karan Johar has donated Rupees 11 lakh toward CM Relief fund to help the flood-affected people of the state. Meanwhile, others have extended their support. Rohit Shetty has donated Rupees 51 lakh, Amir Khan has donated Rupees 25 lakh and Arjun Kapoor has donated Rupees 5 lakh towards the CM Relief fund.
Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma appreciated their kind gesture. He wrote on microblogging site Twitter in this regard, ”Grateful to film producer @karanjohar and Dharma productions for contributing 11 lakh to CM Relief Fund of Assam. Also acknowledge Shri Rohit Shetty for his initiative for getting the entire Indian film industry together for the cause of #AssamFloods @iamrohitshetty.”
