Man beheads wife for tea delayed

Guwahati,21 December: A woman was beheaded by her husband over a heated argument that began for morning tea in Bhojpur Village, in Uttar Pradesh on Tuesday Morning. Dharamveer, 52 years old, a daily wage labourer, had asked tea twice his wife Sundari then flew into a rage when she said it would take some time. After a bitter quarrel, Dharamveer brought out a sword and allegedly hacked his wife from behind. Then she slumped to the ground and died immediately on the spot.

The local police have started an investigation. According to DCP(rural) Vivek Yadav said, “Sundari woke up early and started making tea in the kitchen. Later Dharamveer woke up and called out to her for a cup of tea. After five minutes, he asked again and got angry when his wife told him it would take another 10 minutes. Then he rushed into the kitchen and kicked the utensils then went downstairs and brought a sword while Sundari was making tea, he hacked her head from behind”. They further said that Dharamveer sat beside the body, crying, until they arrived. An FIR has been registered against him based on the complaint and he was produced in court, where Dharamveer was remanded in judicial custody.
