India’s Former PM Manmohan Singh dies At the age of 92

Former Indian Prime Minister Manmohan Singh, former Prime Minister of India, passed away in Delhi on Thursday at the age of 92 tributes poured in from across the nation and around the world, Honoring his immense contribution to India’s development and his legacy as a statesman, economist, and humble leader. The central government has declared a seven day national mourning period as a mark of respect to Dr. Singh. His last rites will be conducted with full state honors. The Union Cabinet, led by prime Minister Narendra Modi, will convene to pay tribute, and all government programs scheduled during this period have been canceled. Congress has also suspended its official programs, including its foundation day celebrations, for the next seven days. ‘’The party flag will be flown at half-mast, and programs will resume on January 3, 2025,’’ stated party general secretary K.C. Venugopal.

Former Prime Minister Manmohan Singh died of age-related medical conditions on Thursday, the All India Institute of Medical Sciences in Delhi, where he was admitted. AIIMS Said, ‘’With profound grief, we inform the demise of former PM of India, Dr Manmohan Singh, aged 92. He was being treated for age related medical conditions and had a sudden loss of consciousness at home on 26 December 2024.
