INDIA’S BIO-ECONOMY GROWS EIGHT TIMES IN THE LAST EIGHT YEARS : UNION HEALTH MINISTER

December, 12: In addressing Pre- Vibrant Biotech summit on Monday, Union Health Minister, Mansukh Mandaviya Said India’s bio-economy has grown from USD 10 billion to USD 80 billion, it is eight times more than in last 8 years. He added that in the coming times, biotechnology will become the biggest foundation for medical treatment of India. We need to try in this industry aims at growing to USD 150 billion by 2025 and USD 300 billion by 2030.

Union Health Minister further said addressing the event “Biotechnology, which the Path of Innovation and Wellness for Viksit Bharat” held at the at Vigyan Bhavan in Ahmedabad. Highlighting the growth and prowess of the biotechnology industry, Union Minister said that the vaccines produced by India during the Covid-19 pandemic showcased the country’s power in the field of biotechnology to the world.He also cited “ This industry will be become a medium for finding solutions for complex problems in various fields like as agriculture, environment, industrial production and many more. In light of this, in the future, the economy will become Biotechnology – based.” It gives new hopes to many Indians.
