Indian documentary ‘Writing With Fire’ nominated in Best Documentary Feature category

Digital Desk, February 9: Indian documentary ‘Writing With Fire’ has won the Oscar nomination. The film is directed by Rintu Thomas and Shusmit Ghosh. Notably, it is the first-ever film from India to get nominated in the category of Best Documentary Feature.

The film depicts the journey of women journalists cover the story of a newspaper named Khabar Lahariya which is operated by Dalit women journalists in Bundelkhand of Central and North India. “The film provides the life and time of fearless and powerful women journalists from the Dalit community who are seen redefining the meaning of power,” added by Shusmit Ghosh.
