India have defeated South Africa by a big 61- run margin to kick off the four-match T20 series with a win. The second game of the series will be played on Sunday. Sanju Samson’s brilliant centuary and combined bowling effort propelled India to a big 61 run win over South Africa in the first T20l. India only managed to score 40 runs in the last six overs but the total of 202 proved to be enough. Samson smashed 107 off 50 balls. With the ball, Varun Chakaravarthy and Ravi Bishnoi shared 6 wicket between them to do the job. All eyes were on Heinrich Klaasen, who was retained by Sunrisers Hyderabad for Rs 23 crore. He departed for 25off 22 balls. India will aim to win the second game and move a step closer to sealing the series win.

Arshdeep Singh provided early wicket to India by dismissing Aiden Maekram in the first over. South Africa never seemed to be in contention to chase the target and they fell short by a big margin.
