Digital Desk, July 6: India reports 16,159 new Covid-19 cases. India logs 28 deaths on account of the infection in the past 24 hours. According to Health Ministry data, the total active cases of Covid-19 have risen to 1,15,212. The Ministry added that the active cases comprises of 0.26 per cent of the total infections, while the recovery rate was recorded at 98.53 per cent.
Meanwhile, Union Health Minister Mansukh Mandaviya stated that 90 per cent of India’s adult population have been fully vaccinated against Covid-19. On the other hand, Dr Abhijit Sarma, Superintendent of Gauhati Medical College and Hospital (GMCH) said, ”I urge the people to follow all Covid protocols and maintain Covid appropriate behaviour. Masks should be worn not only in public spaces but at all times if possible.”
