Digital Desk, August 27: Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma has recently reviewed the construction of Swahid Smarak & Park. Notably, this is being built to commemorate the martyrs of Assam Agitation.
The Smarak & Park is expected to completed by next year, however, almost 50% work has already been completed. There will be open air theatre, library cum auditorium, yoga centre, cycling track, food court and playground for children.
The Smarak & Park would definitely be considered as one of the major tourist destinations in the state. Himanta Biswa Sarma was accompanied by many dignitaries including Atul Bora, Minister for Agriculture & Veterinary, Pabitra Margherita, Rajyasabha MP and Raj Chakraborty, Special Commissioner & Secretary PWD.
