Digital Desk, July 23: Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma met Union Home Minister Amit Shah in the Parliament House. Himanta Biswa Sarma said after meeting Shah, ”The Central government is releasing funds whenever required. So, there is no dearth of funds to manage the flood problem in the state.”
It may be noted that Himanta Biswa Sarma went to the national capital on a four-day official visit. Sarma also met Jagdeep Dhankar, NDA’s Vice-presidential candidate there. Moreover, Sarma thanked Amit Shah for the support of natural agencies such as NDRF during flood in the state.
Earlier a day, Sarma reportedly met Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Sarma further included, ”Our ministers along with secretaries would visit the flood-affected areas in the next seven days and submit reports on the extent of damage after which funds will be released by August 10-12.”
