Government of India scrapped 7 days mandatory home quarantine for international travelers

New Delhi,10 February; A revised guidelines issued by Ministry of Health and Family Welfare for international travelers on 10th February will be effect from 14th February. The guidelines ,which recommends self monitoring post arrival of 14 days against 7 days home quarantine. 

    In the context of, selected 82 countries   can now upload vaccinated certificate along with negative RT- PCR report, taken 72 hours  prior to journey. The selected 82 countries includes USA ,Iran ,Singapore ,Denmark , among others. At -risk countries tag have been removed and obtaining of samples and results from at-risk countries were omitted.

     Health  Minister Mansukh Mahdavia tweeted,  ”on arrival passenger  found to be symptomatic should be immediately isolated and taken to a medical facility. Two per cent of the total passengers in the flight will undergo random testing at the airport. If found positive, the sample of such travelers  will be sent for Genome sequencing and managed as per  the protocol”. Suspect case are the co-passenger seated along the same row, three rows front , three rows behind along with the cabin crew. The guidelines will be applicable to all airports ,sea-ports and land-ports.
