Digital Desk, July 16: Finally Barshashree Buragohain appears for exam from inside the jail. It may be noted that a local court in Golaghat district has allowed Barshashree to sit for exam. 19-years-old Barshashree is a second-year student of Mathematics at Jorhat DCB College under Dibrugarh University.
Barshashree was arrested from Golaghat on May 18. She was charged under Sections 10 and 13 of the Unlawful Activities Prevention Act (UAPA). She is jailed for reportedly writing an anti-national poem against the nation titled ”Akou Korim Rastro Droh” (will again rebel against the nation). She appears for exam in a disjoin room inside the jail. Amlan Phukan, Additional Deputy Commissioner, Golaghat would be the invigilator.
