Assam CM calls PM Modi to inaugurate various state projects

Chief Minister Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma meets Prime Minister Narendra Modi in New Delhi on Monday, Dec 11. During the meeting Sarma invited PM Modi to visit the state to lay foundation of the Kamakhya Corridor project, dedicating world’s tallest statue of Assam’s legendary Bir Lachit Barphukon being constructed at Hollonapar in Jorhat and also inaugurating the Tinsukia and Sivsagar Medical College.

During the meeting, Dr. Sarma informed PM Modi that the state government also intends to organize the Assam Business Summit 2024 in order to attract private investments and also to increase the state’s economic growth. Dr. Sarma wrote in an X post “I had the privilege to call upon Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi ji today. Shared Assam’s immense gratitude for his continuous guidance & leadership and briefed him on the ongoing pro-people programs during our interaction,”
