Digital Desk, July 19: Sivasagar MLA Akhil Gogoi had used some unappropriate words for NDA Presidential candidate Draupadi Murmu. Akhil Gogoi further added, ”Since Draupadi Murmu is NDA candidate, Murmu is not suitable for the post of the President of India. Murmu is a woman of creamy layer.” Many dignitaries of the state condemn Akhil Gogoi for his statement on Draupadi Murmu.
Many leaders of Bharatiya Janata Party including Rupjyoti Kurmi, Pijush Hazarika and Bhabesh Kalita reacted on Gogoi’s statement. Rupjyoti Kurmi told while talking to media, ”Akhil Gogoi does not know the history of Draupadi Murmu.” On the other hand, Minister Pijush Hazarika added, ”Akhil Gogoi should not use such unkind words for Draupadi Murmu.”
Bhabesh Kalita, President of BJP Assam Pradesh, reacted on Gogoi’s statement. He further added, ”Akhil Gogoi should not give such statement on the Presidential candidate since it is considered as one of the most honoured constitutional post of India.” Meanwhile, Akhil Gogoi apologizes for his unappropriate words for Draupadi Murmu on Tuesday.
