Four Writers From The State Recently Bagged The Prestigious Sahitya Akademi Awards

Digital Desk, August 25: Indeed a wonderful news for the people of Assam and the young people who want to pursue their passion of writing and establish themselves in the field. Four writers from Assam namely Diganta Oza, Dewbar Ramchiary, Pradyumna Kumar Gogoi and Alangbar Muchahary have recently bagged the Sahitya Akademi Awards in two different categories.

Notably, Diganta Oza bagged the Bal Sahitya Puraskar for an Assamese essay titled Dangor Manuhor Sadhu. Dewbar Ramchiray bagged the Yuva Puraskar for his Bodo novel titled Langwnani Bokhali Gotho. Meanwhile, Pradyumna Kumar Gogoi bagged the Yuva Puraskar for an anthology of Assamese stories titled Choki Aru Anyanya Galpa. Alangbar Muchahary bagged the award for his Bodo short stories titled Gang Fujanay Mase Dau. 

As per the sources, on the occasion of Children day, the awards in Children category will be presented to the award winners in New Delhi. The awards in Youth category is still not announced. Hearty congratulations to all the award winners!
