Digital Desk, July 11: The NDA government has nominated Ranjan Gogoi for the post of Vice-President. It will be considered as a historical move for the state. Ranjan Gogoi was born and raised in Dibrugarh. Gogoi is the third Supreme Court Judge to serve in Rajya Sabha. He has served on the committee on communications and information technology, and the committee on external affairs. Notably, Gogoi was listed as the third most powerful person in India in the year 2019.
Ranjan Gogoi is a former advocate. He is a former Judge on the Supreme Court of India for seven years. He is serving as a Member of the Rajya Sabha. This is a proud and warming moment for the people of the state. Many dignitaries have thanked the NDA government for choosing a worthy son from Assam for the post of President, one of the highest constitutional post of India.
