Himanta Biswa Sarma at the Gunotsav celebrations in Darrang district

Digital Desk, May 11: Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma inaugurated the Gunotsav celebrations at Ghorabandha school at Sipajhar in Darrang district on Wednesday. The State Government is planning to introduce a hybrid model of education in government-funded schools. Chief Minister said that education will be impart in English in government schools. The present State Government will work towards a bright Assam.

He urged TET qualified teachers to end protest during Gunotsav inauguration since protests have set Assam on a back-foot for 75 years since independence. It is noteworthy that the state will be celebrating Gunotsav from May 11 to June 4. It will be celebrated in 46,000 schools in three phases.
