The U.S aeronautical based research station NASA has warned of a solar storm to hit the planet earth as lots of coronal mass ejections ( CMEs )has been noticed in sunspots. Earth is continuously facing these harmful solar storms.  Last time the earth experienced a minor GI-class geomagnetic storm on November 25 and 26 of 2023. People of northern and southern latitudes may witness hues of glowing lights which is commonly referred as aurora. ‘’Solar flares and CME are both caused by the sun through its magnetic field being twisted and stressed through motions in the sun,’’ stated by Daniel Brown, an associate professor in astronomy and science communication at Nottingham Trent University in the UK. Furthermore, the earth is at its nearest position to the sun on 3 January of this year.  When the earth is closest to the sun, it is said to be at perihelion. It causes tension for the planet.
