On 14 November, as per the reports from National Air Quality Index ( AQI ) after the capital city of India, the condition of the air in Guwahati deteriorated.
The National AQI has classified certain areas of Guwahati as poor while the other parts have been categorised as moderate. The Railway Colony and LGBI Airport have been marked as poor with Particulate Matter ( PM ) of 219-250 AQI. Pan Bazaar with 190 AQI and IITG with 170 AQI, which represents moderate. Guwahati ranked 40 in the list of most polluted cities in the world.
This is not far enough to have ramifications, as in Delhi, if it keeps on going this way. The citizens might have to face lungs, asthma and heart diseases soon. The majority of the people are already experiencing breathing difficulties.
