Assam Medical College suspends two students over ragging

After Dibrugarh University ragging case, one more ragging case came into light at Assam Medical College, Dibrugarh on Tuesday, November 29. The college has suspended two accused medical students for six months on the recommendation of the Anti-Ragging Committee. The committee stated that the two accused Postgraduate students of the Department of Orthopedics, were found guilty of harassing junior Postgraduate students both physically and mentally, which is an inhuman act. Hence, the students were suspended from attending classes and academic privileges for six months, including suspension and expulsion from the college hostel immediately.

It is noted that, recently an M. Com students of Dibrugarh University jumped off the second floor of a hostel to escape inhuman act of ragging.
