9.64 kg heroin nabbed in Barak Valley

On Monday, Oct 10, in continuing campaign of Anti-Drug by the Assam Police, another shocking incident in the Barak Valley, the Karimganj Police along with the personnel of the Border Security Force (BSF), successfully apprehended drugs weighing 9.64 kg of heroin.

According to the report,  it is one of the biggest drug haul in which Karimganj executed a long-day joint operation to seize the huge amount of illegal drugs. The drugs carried were packed and hidden in 764 soaps cases inside the truck. The truck driver was arrested in the operation, has been identified as the resident of Patharkandi in Karimganj District.

Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma tweeted about the same and cherish  the courageous act of the Assam Police.
